Why this door handle?

Reinterpreted by Jasper Morrison, based on Johannes Potente's original grip design:
In 1989, FSB commissioned the then little-known designer Jasper Morrison to rethink the established door handle design by German industrial designer Johannes Potente.

Morrison advanced the familiar design with quiet conviction. The asymmetric shape, featuring a broad support surface, follows the natural anatomy of the hand, providing grip exactly where the thumb and palm press down when opening the door. A design that feels instantly recognizable. FSB 1144 was highly regarded at launch and remains just as relevant today.

What makes this finish special?
The proven classic that has been a staple in architecture for decades. Aluminum has a slightly warmer appearance than stainless steel and subtly blends into the room’s design.
