General Inquiries + Orders

Can I change or cancel my order before it is delivered?

Orders are processed quickly. As a result, changes or cancellations can only be accommodated in exceptional cases. Please contact us as soon as possible at support@fsb.de or use our contact form so we can review your request.

Can I place a preorder for an out-of-stock item?

Some out-of-stock products may be available for preorder. In such cases, the product can be added to your cart and ordered using the Preorder button, just like during a regular checkout process. The expected shipping date will be displayed on the product page. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an E-mail notification.

Which countries do you currently ship to?

What are the shipping times?

Within Germany, orders typically arrive within 3-5 business days. Alternatively, Express Shipping can be selected during checkout. Orders shipped via Express Shipping are typically delivered within 1-2 business days.

  • Orders of €40 or more qualify for free Standard Shipping (delivery within 3–5 business days).
  • For orders under €40, a shipping fee of €5.90 applies for Standard Shipping.

Can I exchange a product for a different one?

Exchanges are currently not available. If you would like a different product, please return your item and place a new order.

Is there a warranty on your products?

All products are covered by the statutory warranty period of two years from the date of purchase. If you discover a defect within this period, please contact us at support@fsb.de or use our contact form.

How can I track my package?

What happens if I’m not at home when my package is delivered?

If you are not available at the time of delivery, the shipping carrier will typically leave a delivery notice or deliver your package to a nearby pickup location or parcel shop. The exact procedure depends on the shipping carrier responsible for your delivery.

Returns + Refunds

How can I return an item?

You may return ordered products within 30 days without providing a reason.

Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Installation + Instructions

Can I install the products myself? Are installation instructions available?

Yes, a digital installation guide is available for every product. You can conveniently access it via the QR-code on the product packaging. Alternatively, you can view and print installation guides in the Installation section of our website. For installation, you will only need an Allen key (3 mm), a Phillips screwdriver, and, depending on the product version, a 9 mm or 10.5 mm drill bit.

How should the drilling template from the installation guide be printed?

The DIN A4 drilling template for your product can be found in the Installation section. When printing the template, please ensure that the print settings are set to 100% scale (actual size). This is necessary to ensure that the drilling template dimensions are accurate.

Do FSB handle sets come with mounting hardware?

Yes, all products are supplied with the appropriate mounting hardware. The exact contents of each package are listed on the respective product page.

Can the door stop be installed on floors with radiant heating?

No, we do not recommend installing a door stop on floors with radiant heating. Floor-mounted door stops are permanently secured using a wall plug and screw. Depending on the installation conditions, the screw length may interfere with the heating pipes beneath the floor surface.

Is the door stop suitable for all types of flooring?

Yes, the door stop is generally suitable for all types of flooring. Please note, however, that because it is permanently mounted to the floor, a drill hole will remain if the door stop is removed at a later date.

Which types of doors is the door stop suitable for?

The door stop is designed for standard interior doors. However, the level of impact it can withstand in a specific application depends on several factors, including the gap between the door and the floor, the angle at which the door contacts the stop, the floor construction, and the position of the door stop itself.

Are FSB window handles sold through the B2C Online-Shop compatible with standard window types?

Yes, our window handles and window espagnolette handles are suitable for installation on wood, vinyl, and aluminum windows.

Do I need to pay attention to handing (left-hand/right-hand, DIN left/right)?

No, you do not need to consider DIN left or DIN right when selecting our window handles, as they feature a universal mounting system.

What should I keep in mind when installing window handles?

The most important factor is the length of the spindle. Be sure to measure it before placing your order. In most cases, spindle lengths range from 24 mm to 38 mm, covering approximately 90% of standard window types.

Are FSB door handles compatible with my door?

All FSB door handles available through this B2C Online-Shop are designed for interior doors with a standard door thickness of 39 mm to 58 mm. All handle sets are supplied with an 8 mm spindle, which corresponds to the standard specification for interior doors in Germany.

What is an 8 mm spindle in a door handle set?

The spindle is the square metal bar that connects both handles of a door handle set through the lock mechanism. An 8 mm spindle is the standard size for residential interior doors in Germany and is compatible with most standard door locks.

What types of door handle sets are available?

For interior doors, we offer a range of door handle set configurations:

  • Door handle sets with a standard keyhole are designed for traditional interior doors operated with a standard room key. They are available with round roses, short backplates, or long backplates.
  • Door handle sets with a privacy lock are suitable for bathroom and powder room doors. They are available with round roses, short backplates, or long backplates.
  • Door handle sets without a keyhole or escutcheon offer a particularly clean and minimalist appearance.

Can I replace an existing backplate handle set with a rose handle set?

No, unfortunately this is not possible. If a long backplate handle set is already installed, it cannot be easily converted to a rose handle set due to the different mounting and door preparation requirements.

 

Can I replace an existing rose handle set with a long backplate handle set?

Technically, this is possible. However, please note that an existing rose handle set will usually leave visible pressure marks or impressions on the door surface that may not be fully concealed by a long backplate. This is because standard round roses typically have a diameter of 55 mm, while our long backplates are only 45 mm wide.

In addition, the door must be re-drilled according to the installation instructions before the long backplate can be installed. It is also important to consider the mounting dimensions: rose handle sets use a center-to-center screw spacing of 38 mm. Depending on the existing drilling pattern, the current mounting holes may not be completely covered by the width of the backplate.
