As a company, we are committed to making our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Accessibility Strengthening Act and the regulation of the Accessibility Strengthening Act, implementing the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services).

The accessibility requirements arise from the regulation of the Accessibility Strengthening Act. The specific accessibility requirements have been implemented in accordance with § 14 BFSG in conjunction with § 3 para. 1 BFSG in the regulation of the Accessibility Strengthening Act.

We operate an online shop for high-quality door handles, window handles, door fittings and accessories of the FSB brand (Franz Schneider Brakel). Customers can browse our range, filter products by category and finish, add items to the shopping basket and order and pay online. The shop is available in German and English.

The specific technical measures are based on WCAG 2.1 Level A, AA.

The review of compliance with the requirements is based on a self-assessment (the content was assessed by an internal member of staff or the developer of the content) and was carried out on 19/06/2026. The assessment was conducted in accordance with the statutory requirements and international standards (EN 301 549, WCAG 2.1 Level A, AA).

Accessible Image Information
All informative images are provided with alt texts. This allows relevant image content to be captured and read aloud by screen readers. When designing the user interface, we also ensure sufficient colour contrasts to support readability and orientation.

All page content remains readable and usable even when enlarged to 200%, without any loss of content.

The website 'FSB B2C Online Shop' has the following conformity status in relation to the conformity level represented by WCAG 2.1 Level A, AA: partially conformant: only parts of the content are conformant. We are committed to making our website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Strengthening Act, implementing the European Accessibility Act (EAA). We have reviewed our website for accessibility using automated tools (WAVE, Google Lighthouse) and optimised it accordingly. The following barriers are known to us and are being addressed incrementally:

• Keyboard navigation in the main menu: Drop-down menus can be opened; however, navigation within the menu items via keyboard is not yet fully possible.
• Focus indicator on contact form fields: When navigating by keyboard, the active focus is not sufficiently highlighted visually.
• Success message on contact form: The confirmation message after submission is not yet fully optimised for screen readers.
• Full manual keyboard navigation: A manual review of all page types is still pending.
• English alt texts: Due to a technical limitation of Shopify, alt texts cannot currently be stored in a second language.
• Installation instructions as PDF: The PDF files available for download for installation instructions are not yet tagged as accessible PDFs.
• On the "Materials + Surfaces" page, the heading path is not adhered to and jumps from heading level H1 to heading level H3.
• According to the automated tool WAVE, a link on our homepage does not contain any text, meaning the function or purpose of the link is not displayed.
• The arrow for page navigation on our filter page does not contain any text, meaning the function or purpose of the link is not displayed.
